Life of a 34-year-old Indian User Saved By Apple Watch’s ECG Feature

There’s no denying that the Apple Watch is one of the most efficient smartwatches available in today’s market. It sure has a high price tag, but the kind of features it has justifies the hefty price.

Apple Watch has time and again proved to be a life-saving device to users. This has come true once again when it saved a 34-year young Indian user.

Based on a report by the Times of India, a 34-years-old man named Nitish Chopra was feeling restless and pain in his chest. Nitish is a resident of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana.

After informing his wife about his health condition, he wore the Apple Watch 6 as per his wife’s instructions. The smartwatch was gifted to Nitish by his wife last year.

Nitish took the ECG on the Apple Watch, which showed that his health was not good. The reading generated by the smartwatch showed irregularities in the ECG. Seeing the reading, they immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was given an angiography.

Nitish and his wife were informed that the pain was caused due to 99.9% blockage in his arteries.

Neha told Gadgets Now that the doctors had to place a stent in his heart. They were extremely lucky to reach the hospital on time. Nitesh is now discharged from the hospital and is completely fine.

Meanwhile, Neha wrote an email to Apple’s CEO Tim Cook to share her story. She wrote that they could reach the hospital on time only because of the Apple Watch. In her email, she also thanked Tim Cook and the Apple Watch for saving her husband’s life.

Neha also received a reply from Tim Cook himself who wrote that he was glad to hear her story. He also thanked her for sharing her story with him.

Neha told Times of India that if not for the Apple Watch, she would have never guessed that her husband has blocked arteries. She is thankful to the Apple Watch because without it they would not have sought timely treatment. She is so happy with the Apple Watch that she is going to buy one for herself now.

The Apple Watch 6 is available at Rs 40,900. It belongs to Apple Watch Series 6 and is packed with an array of useful features. This includes an oximeter sensor which helps to measure the oxygen level in the blood.

The Apple Watch 6 is powered by an S6 processor and is available in two sizes, including 44mm and 40mm. It is also IP68 certified, which makes it both resistant to water and dust.
